Thanks to the Bay Area News Group for throwing a top notch event at the San Jose Museum of Art last night. We had a ton of fun with everyone who made it out to this one of a kind boutique bridal fair! We don’t get out too often to these kind of affairs, but we sure were surprised to see the response we got from those who attended. Brides-and-Grooms-to-be should definitely check this event out the next time it rolls around.
Great gigs!
Wow! That’s all I can say. Had a great double gig weekend. Did SJSU PD dept last Friday and Tech CU on Saturday. Both parties turned out good. Tech CU’s party was really nice because it was held inside the San Jose Tech Museum. I’ve done many events for them, but I do have to say, this was one of the best that I’ve done so far! Thanks Marnie and to the Wrecking Ball Team for having me again!
Monica & Erwin
Had a great gig last Saturday. Did a wedding for Erwin and Monica at the Embassy Suites in Milpitas. The Groom is Filipino and the Bride is Mexican. My wife works with the groom. I knew that when I first met with them, it was going to be a party crowd! I was right! Everything went very well. I did a bio introduction for the wedding party and a Love Story for the Bride and Groom’s intro. I also provided custom monogram lighting for the reception and low laying fog for their first dance. The Dumlao Brothers did the uplighting and ofcourse helped me set up and breakdown. I also got to work with another great photographer name Orlando Dalisay. He was awesome! This was our 2nd or 3rd wedding that we’ve worked together! Before I forget, a Big Thanks going out to husband and wife Jane and Francis Capili. They are great coordinators that I had the honor to work with. We just happened to do events back to back. They also showed the B & G how to kiss at the last event and this one! Francis is cool! I think he’s going to be an MC one day! Thanks Erwin and Monica for choosing Macala Entertainment!

Happy New Year, off to a great start!
We had a busy weekend! Mark was at Gerry’s Grill last Friday and last night he was at the Santa Clara Hilton for a birthday party. I did my 1st wedding of year for Juby and Ritche at the Crowne Plaza in Milpitas. It was off the hook! The B & G chose their parents for my famous kissing competition. It was hilarious! Guess who dropped by? The Mayor of Milpitas, Jose Estevez! Also, ran into my good friend Alvin Caampued of Soundworks, who stopped by to bring a light because the lighting vendor last night dropped theirs and they needed one really bad for the B & G’s monogram. They asked if I knew anyone and the only person I thought of was Alvin. Thanks Alvin for coming thru! I also got to use my free room at the Crowne. Got hooked up with a mini suite! Thanks Ernalou and Larry for always taking care of me and my family when we stay here. Don’t forget if you are looking for a venue for your next event, be sure to call Ernalou at Crowne Plaza at 408-321-9500. Tell her that I sent you and she will hook you up! Before I forget, I worked with an awesome photographer that we’ve done a few events together. He knows my pastor and my church. He did a same day edit photo montage that turned out sweet! His name is John Balbin. You can reach him at 877-265-4935 or visit his website, www.johnbalbinstudios.com. Till next time!
